A Voice of America Report on North Korea, reports that the World Health Organization has stated that 1 baby born out of 10 are premature. More accurately, the rate is 10.7% of newborns are premature. This is interesting, as I tried to search for something on their website for that, and couldn’t find it. Definitely not saying DailyNK is reporting something false. I’m just too lazy at the moment to actually do the legwork of searching for the original statement.
The fact that these guys actually went to North Korea is pretty awesome, and makes me jealous. On top of that, they actually went to a secret 5th floor of the famous hotel that’s constantly under construction just blows my mind!
That’s right! North Koreans on occasion, sue their South Korean relatives over inheritance issues. See, many North Koreans from the War never had a chance to flee with their families to the south, or for some other reason were separated from them due to the nature of war itself. Others escaped the North and later remarried in the South. When they pass away, the families in the North hear of this, and inheritance battles ensue. In fact, there are prior cases, in which North Koreans have actually won these cases. Now, South Korea’s Justice Ministry is trying to stop this money from leaving their country, and entering the North. http://www.nkeconwatch.com/2011/08/18/rok-moves-to-keep-inheritance-assets-out-of-dprk
